A well-established public accounting firm is adding an Audit & Assurance Manager to its team in North Bend, Nebraska. Working from North Bend, you will oversee assurance engagements from initial planning through final reporting while helping guide the continued growth of the firm’s audit practice. Requirements

  • Active CPA license (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of progressive audit experience, including supervisory responsibility.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, assurance standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Background in public accounting or structured regulatory environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience with audit software platforms and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
  • Ability to work onsite in North Bend, Nebraska on a hybrid schedule.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and professional communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to oversee multiple concurrent engagements without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the full lifecycle of assurance engagements, including planning, fieldwork, review, and issuance.
  • Evaluate financial statements and supporting documentation to confirm compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable auditing standards.
  • Provide technical oversight on complex accounting matters and internal control assessments.
  • Manage engagement budgets, staffing assignments, and project timelines to meet client deadlines.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients throughout the audit process, addressing inquiries and presenting findings.
  • Review and finalize audit documentation to ensure quality and regulatory adherence.
  • Identify operational risks and deliver practical recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
  • Mentor senior accountants and audit staff, fostering professional growth within the North Bend office.
