About The Position

This is a full-time position (80 hours every 2 weeks) at Scripps Clinic Encinitas and Jefferson, with bonus eligibility. The Audiology Services team works with related departments to service patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, focusing on individual patient needs and team contribution. The Audiologist is responsible for evaluation, assessment, prognosis, treatment, and education for patients and clients, in accordance with their licensure. This includes expertise in performing Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR), Electronystagmography (ENG), Electrocochleography (ECoG), Tympanometry, and Audiological Evaluations. The role also involves hearing aid/instrument dispensing, covering selection, fitting, ongoing management with follow-up, and education for Hearing Aids, Cochlear Implants, and Bone Anchored hearing devices.

Requirements

  • Current California Audiologist license
  • Current or pending California Hearing Aid Dispensing License
  • BLS for Health Care Provider from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience as a licensed Audiologist

Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluation, assessment, prognosis, treatment, and education to patients and clients through a continuum of care according to the therapist's respective licensure
  • Be knowledgeable in the Performance of Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
  • Be knowledgeable in the Performance of Electronystagmography (ENG)
  • Be knowledgeable in the Performance of Electrocochleography (ECoG)
  • Be knowledgeable in the Performance of Tympanometry
  • Be knowledgeable in the Performance of Audiological Evaluations
  • Provide hearing aid/instrument dispensing, including selection, fitting, ongoing management with follow-up, and education for Hearing Aids, Cochlear Implants and Bone Anchored hearing devices
