Job Summary At Prevea Health the Audiologist is responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services to patients across the lifespan. This role applies current audiological principles in diagnostic testing, amplification practices, hearing conservation, and advanced treatment modalities to ensure the highest quality of patient-centered care. The Audiologist will also maintain compliance with professional standards, ethical practices, and continuing education requirements to uphold exceptional clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree In Audiology or Communication Disorders Required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) or American Board of Audiology (ABA) Upon Hire Required
  • Wisconsin Audiologist license issued by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS). Upon Hire Required
  • Strong knowledge of amplification technology, hearing aid fitting, and assistive listening devices.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills that allow timely patient appointments and appropriate required follow up.
  • Presents a courteous and service oriented image through positive and helpful interaction with patients and families, physicians and co-workers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors
  • Ability to form work/patient relationships with patients and peers.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.
  • Ability to handle and process confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and interpret a full range of audiological assessments, including but not limited to:
  • Otoscopic examination
  • Behavioral testing
  • Pure-tone and speech audiometry
  • Speech-in-noise testing
  • Impedance testing (tympanometry, acoustic reflex, reflex decay)
  • Otoacoustic emissions testing
  • Additional assessments as necessary for appropriate patient management
  • Provide patient-centered amplification services, including hearing aid evaluations, selection, fitting, counseling, and management of assistive listening devices.
  • Ensure accurate and ethical billing, coding, and documentation of patient records.
  • Advocate for hearing conservation through education and provision of protective hearing and assisted listening devices.
  • Perform vestibular assessments (ENG/VNG) to aid in diagnosis and treatment of balance disorders.
  • If applicable, manage cochlear implant mapping and follow-up care.
