About The Position

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Audio Visual - IT, the Audio Visual Technician II - IT provides higher level, in-depth technical End User support on audio visual systems. This Role also creates and maintains troubleshooting /end user documentation primarily for audio visual (A/V) equipment. Provides training and ongoing support to users and other Audio Visual Technicians. This position may also act as a lead for other A/V team members on operational and project related tasks, as directed by leadership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Programs, engineers, operates and setups a variety of A/V equipment including, but not limited to; microphones, speakers, projectors, video screens, and video monitors. 2. Operates and monitors the TV systems throughout the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino and other Tribal locations. Contacts proper maintenance companies, as necessary. 3. Collaborates with the IT Service Desk leadership to design and install A/V technology solutions. Coaches and trains other A/V team members. Walks jobsites with vendors, various IT and non-IT support teams. 4. Transports, set-ups, removes and operates A/V equipment for onsite meetings. Assists with the purchase of new equipment and supplies as necessary and administer competitive bid process. 5. Installs, troubleshoots, and programs A/V systems throughout the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino and all Tribal locations. 6. Develops and executes preventative maintenance programs and procedures. Creates detailed line drawings, project plans and executive summaries. 7. Tracks and maintains inventory of A/V equipment leveraging a centralized asset management database. 8. Performs testing on various audio, video and signals for the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino and all other Tribal locations. 9. Ensures all A/V presentation rooms/spaces are presentable for use and end user A/V needs are met. 10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of audio visual related experience, which includes working directly with projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and LCD/Plasma displays required.
  • Vast knowledge of audio, visual, lighting and digital equipment is vital.
  • Advanced technical aptitude in audio visual technology, computers and networking.
  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of network hardware and software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure that a non-technical end user and/or senior executive can understand.
  • Ability to create a positive and professional business relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Crestron, QSC equipment, Amplifiers, Receivers, A/V converters and processors.
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with digital signage and audio software such as Industry Weapon, Crestron, Orange Door, and SpinetiX is preferred.
  • Prior experience in leading small teams is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Audio Visual technology or a related course preferred.
