About The Position

CareDx, Inc. is a leading precision medicine solutions company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of clinically differentiated, high-value healthcare solutions for transplant patients and caregivers. CareDx offers products, testing services, and digital healthcare solutions along the pre- and post-transplant patient journey, and is the leading provider of genomics-based information for transplant patients. CareDx, Inc. is seeking a motivated and tech‑savvy Audio/Visual Intern to join our IT Infrastructure team at our South San Francisco headquarters. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience supporting high-impact company events while giving the intern meaningful experience. As an Audio/Visual Intern, you will play an active role in delivering seamless AV experiences across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, gain exposure to enterprise AV environments, and build practical skills in event technology, troubleshooting, and media production. As part of the internship, you’ll complete a small capstone project focused on learning how AV workflows support events at CareDx. You’ll observe day‑to-day AV operations, gain exposure to different event formats and setups, and identify a few opportunities for improvement or best practices to share with the team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree Audio Production, Audio Engineering, Communications or related degree.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding audio and video equipment, cabling, networking, and signal routing.
  • Familiarity with various software and hardware, including Microsoft Office Suite, Teams meetings, Zoom and relevant AV control systems.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work in various environments (including heights and confined spaces), and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of a wide range of internal and external events, including: Advisory Boards Webinars and Field Calls New Hire Trainings Town Halls and Board Meetings Guest Speaker Panels Off-site Meetings Holiday and Company Celebrations
  • Partnering with event organizers to assess AV requirements and recommend solutions
  • Providing on-site and virtual technical support during events
  • Performing equipment setup, testing, walkthroughs, and tear-downs
  • Administering and supporting Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings
  • Recording and editing video content for internal and external audiences
  • Maintain and support AV hardware and integrations, including laptops, cameras, microphones, conference room displays, signage TVs, and control systems
  • Troubleshoot user issues related to conference rooms, phones, TVs, and laptops
  • Track AV inventory, manage equipment storage, and assist with ordering supplies
  • Support general A/V administrative tasks as assigned
