About The Position

TEKsystems is partnering with one of the top enterprise AV integrators in the region to place an experienced AV Service Technician on a long-term contract engagement — minimum 3 years — supporting a well-established client base across Connecticut and into Massachusetts. You'll be embedded as the go-to field expert, building real relationships with enterprise clients and working on some of the most sophisticated AV systems in the market — executive boardrooms, conference centers, and high-end corporate environments. What You'll Be Working On Custom Control Systems: Crestron DM & NVX, AMX Video Conferencing Systems in executive and enterprise environments AV over IP (AVoIP) across LAN, WAN, and internet Audio DSP Systems: amplifiers, speakers, microphones Projection Systems, Displays, Video Walls & Digital Signage RF Systems — analog & digital (basic exposure)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of AV field service experience (5+ years of installation experience will be considered)
  • Hands-on experience with Crestron and/or AMX systems — this is a must
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts — you know how to isolate a problem and own it through resolution
  • Comfortable working independently in executive and customer-facing environments
  • Own basic hand tools and understand proper field practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • CTS certification — highly preferred
  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and resolving system, signal, and connectivity issues across complex AV environments
  • Performing preventative maintenance on client systems
  • Conducting site surveys to support service agreements and quotes
  • Writing clear service reports and maintaining system documentation
  • Managing multiple service calls and priorities independently across the CT/MA territory
  • Interfacing directly with enterprise-level clients — you're the face of the operation in the field
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate technicians when the opportunity arises
