About The Position

This position is 100% on site Candidates with experience in the following are preferred: Hotel/Corporate in-house AV Hotel/Corporate freelance AV Convention centers, trade shows, sporting arenas, exclusive event venues Operational/Technical skillset expectations: 2-3 years AV management experience within a hospitality-related environment Hotels, convention/conference centers, and meeting facilities Aide the Director of Event Technology in overseeing hotel AV operations and technicians Foster positive working relationships with hotel mgmt., support staff, clients, even planners, and KVL management Manage the schedule of hotel AV technicians Strong AV sales experience with attention to detail: Generates new business opportunities within the hotel and surrounding areas Prospecting, soliciting RFPs, and providing quotes Exceptional customer service and communication skills Oversee AV equipment inventory: Sourcing/negotiating cross-rentals, and ensuring their safe return Keep open lines of communication between other KVL property inventories Provide logistics for incoming/outgoing equipment Technical knowledge includes: General advanced understanding of AUDIO: Ability to take over basic audio operation roles on analog and digital mixing consoles, if necessary General advanced understanding of VIDEO: Ability to take over basic video operation roles of switching, projection, and GFX operation, if necessary General advanced understanding of LIGHTING: Ability to take over basic lighting operation roles of dimming, spot lighting, or stage washing, if necessary Up-lighting to enhance a rooms mood or texture Professional skillset expectations: Ability to work diligently, calmly, and professionally under tight, run-of-show deadlines Addressing the client and venue employees with extreme professionalism and respect VIP customer-service. VIP experience preferred Attention to detail. The smallest hiccups can have the largest impact! Requirements

  • 2-3 years AV management experience within a hospitality-related environment Hotels, convention/conference centers, and meeting facilities
