About The Position

The Opportunity The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled AV Tech to support Event Operations, Broadcast, and visiting production teams. This role is essential in ensuring seamless audio/visual experiences across games, concerts, meetings, and special events at FedExForum. In This Role You Will Assist with set-up and installation of equipment, such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing board for events, games, meetings, concerts, and other presentations; Ensure Digital Signage at FEF is operating at optimum capability and displaying proper material; Monitor sound and audio feeds as appropriate per event, ensuring quality production; Alert Technical staff of any issues that may occur during show; Ensure the safe use, transfer, and/or shipment of equipment; Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor; Promote teamwork and quality service through regular communications and coordination with on-site and off-site Broadcast team members, other departments, and event management; Other duties as applies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3-5 years in set up of live remote TV broadcast, sports broadcast, live in- arena events and/or music productions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of Reidel or Clear Comm communication setup
  • Strong understanding of HD Video & Audio signal dissemination
  • Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and the Internet
  • Must be available to work during on evenings, select holidays, and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree in Communications, Sound Engineering, Broadcast/TV or Multi-Media production
  • Knowledge and passion for NBA basketball

Responsibilities
