About The Position

Attadale Partners, a leading management consultancy serving commercial and government clients, is seeking an experienced media technician in support of its expanding Federal government engagement to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This role is in-office, onsite Monday through Friday in the Hyattsville, Maryland area. All applicants must be US Citizens or US Greencard holders; immigration and work authorization sponsorship is not available. The media technician will maintain, configure, and manage hardware and software necessary to record in-person and online video and audio recordings of survey research events in support for the Collaborating Center for Questionnaire Design and Evaluation Research (CCQDER) team. The CCQDER team utilizes various quantitative and mixed methods to evaluate survey questions using cognitive interviews, focus groups and other methods. The results and outcomes of the testing and analysis are either audio or video recorded, and must be stored, tagged, tracked and easily searchable for analysis and verification purposes. Additionally, CCQDER is migrating its legacy tools and processes to a modern architecture and you have the opportunity to lead the transformation from legacy to modern tools. As an experienced media technician, you will provide recommendations on hardware and software including digital video database software, indexing best practices, and techniques to accelerate transcription speed and accuracy. Additionally, you will support the existing systems to ensure performance during the transition period. In this role you will also be responsible for post recording processing including transcription of recordings, tagging and annotating, indexing, and maintaining the electronic recording and meta-data to provide rapid on-demand querying and analysis of data. You must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with the Program Manager, research specialists, and a cross-functional team of Attadale and government staff. As a key team member, you will actively contribute to client and program success and be responsible to achieve an Exceptional CPARS engagement review. Applicants should live within daily commuting distance of Hyattsville, Maryland as this role requires the team to work onsite although situational telework may be approved as needed. Travel or commuting reimbursement are unavailable on this project. Relocation expenses are not provided. You are a collegial team member, and the following experience and skills:

Requirements

  • Experienced with systems infrastructure modernization programs
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar audio/video data management platforms, preferably within a survey design team such as BLS, Census, NIH, or commercial equivalent research organization
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience working with joint client and consultant teams responsible for designing, developing, configuring, deploying, and testing software, hardware, and applications
  • Maintain (or previously qualified) for Tier 4/Public Trust Level 6 designations, and must be obtain the same designations for this engagement
  • Previous experience as a with the US Federal government
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum and the traditional Agile sprint work schedules
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements and design technical solutions
  • Work closely with other team members such as data analysts, business analysts, and system architects
  • Must be able to work onsite in Hyattsville, MD
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
