About The Position

Audio Supervisor Reports to: Production Manager Department: Production Compensation: $685/week salary, housing and meals Dates: Mid-May to Mid-August (Advanced remote prep work included) Duties may include, but are not limited to: Supervise, train, and mentor the Audio Team (Assistant Audio Supervisor, Audio Assistants, fellows and overhire) Lead audio load-in and load-out of the O’Neill’s two indoor and two outdoor performance spaces Work with Production Manager to interview and hire Audio Dept. staff Travel to PRG for prep of the production rental package Work efficiently while also adhering to all rules and safety guidelines Maintain equipment in performance spaces and in the on-site Pub Coordinate with Asst. Production Manager and Lighting Supervisor to set a daily working schedule Work directly with designers and collaborate with artistic staff from each of the O’Neill’s four summer conferences to best support the performances from a sound standpoint As needed, serve as audio system engineer Support other departments as directed Create and maintain all sound department paperwork Some pre-season prep work will be required Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate is an early to mid-career professional who has supervisory experience and an interest in audio production who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Candidates must be organized, flexible, responsible, possess excellent communication skills and have a keen attention to detail. They must be proficient in drafting and reading sound plots, using drawings to create working systems, audio mixing, digital audio networking and QLab software. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be comfortable with heights, ascending/descending ladders, and be able to work overhead for a sustained amount of time. Experience with Vectorworks and an interest in new work development is a plus.
