General Summary: Third-Party Property Attorney role will be responsible for handling litigation matters across the firm's specialized practice areas and will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including legal drafting, handling discovery requests and responses, conducting legal research, written discovery, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, client and witness interviews, arbitration and trial preparation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of current experience working in a Trial Law Firm preferred.
  • Background & knowledge of Florida third-party property laws, procedures, and defense strategies.
  • Ability to independently manage case files from assessment through resolution.
  • Proficiency in legal research, case analysis, and written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • 1-3 years of defense experience.

  • Handles & conducts matters statewide.
  • A skilled working knowledge of federal and state civil procedure.
  • Flexibility, composure, and the ability to prioritize and handle time sensitive tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of proficiency and accuracy; the ability to remain composed and professional under stressful circumstances; commitment to ethical and confidentiality requirements; solid client service skills.
  • Provides oral advocacy in various legal settings.
  • Writing and drafting legal documents.
