Join our Recruiting team as an Attorney Talent Acquisition (Recruiting) Coordinator located in our San Diego office. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the Director of Attorney Talent Acquisition. The Attorney Talent Acquisition Coordinator assists the Attorney Recruitment team in executing activities related to the recruiting and hiring of attorneys, including summer associates, lateral, and alternative track career attorneys. This position supports all phases of the recruitment process and plays a key role in the successful execution of the Summer Associate Program and other recruiting initiatives. The candidate should be flexible to work overtime as needed, especially during peak student recruiting periods.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum three to five years recruiting experience in a mid-to-large law firm setting
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Exceptional computer skills and the ability to learn new software applications quickly

  • Experience with Workday, Applicant Tracking System a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Attorney Talent Acquisition, Business Director, and other members of the attorney recruiting team with recruiting summer associates, lateral shareholders, lateral associates, and alternative track attorneys
  • Provide support for the on-campus recruiting process by preparing materials, scheduling callback interviews, following up with attorneys, and coordinating communication to candidates
  • Oversee day-to-day functions of the Summer Associate Program, including coordinating training, sourcing work assignments, compiling evaluations, planning social events, and related duties
  • Coordinate in-person or virtual interview schedules and gather feedback on prospective candidates
  • Draft and update job postings, review and process resumes in the applicant tracking system (Workday), and generate reports as necessary
  • Manage and update applicant databases and prepare offer letters
  • Interface effectively with candidates and legal search firms, provide candidate correspondence, and submit background check requests
  • Network and partner with law school career services to reach law students
  • Assist with other department activities as needed, and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
