About The Position
USAID’s Office of Acquisition and Assistance (OAA) manages acquisition and assistance actions across the Agency. USAID’s Office of the General Counsel (GC) requires mid-level attorneys to support litigation, acquisition, HR, and appropriations legal work related to Agency closeout. Provide legal support across litigation, regulatory interpretation, contracting, grants, HR law, and appropriations law.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) + active bar membership.
- 5+ years legal experience supporting a federal agency.
Responsibilities
- Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and advisory guidance.
- Support litigation document review and case preparation.
- Provide legal support to OAA, CFO, HCTM, and other offices.
- Conduct statutory and regulatory analysis.
