General summary: The Attorney role will be responsible for handling litigation matters in the Commercial Litigation practice area and will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including legal drafting, handling discovery requests and responses, conducting legal research, written discovery, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, client and witness interviews, arbitration and trial preparation. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of current experience working in a Trial Law Firm preferred
  • Background & knowledge specializing in the firm's specialized practice areas
  • Proficient writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Superior legal research & analytical abilities
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and a strong academic record preferred
  • Active member of the Florida Bar (additional state admissions preferred)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Some Travel (depending on Practice Group) may be required

  • Handles & conducts matters statewide.
  • A skilled working knowledge of federal and state civil procedure.
  • Flexibility, composure, and the ability to prioritize and handle time sensitive tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of proficiency and accuracy; the ability to remain composed and professional under stressful circumstances; commitment to ethical and confidentiality requirements; solid client service skills.
  • Provides oral advocacy in various legal settings
  • Writing and drafting legal documents
