About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting all aspects of Guest entry and exit to Universal Kids Resort’s theme park. Provides exemplary Guest service for all Guests arriving at the Toll Plaza, using suggestive and persuasive upselling of parking options while providing parking directions in a safe manner. Responsible for transactions of pass sales and admission of Guests in and out of park through admissions area while maintaining the integrity of the front gate by verifying ownership and validity of tickets. Provides information, directions, and daily operational times to Guests as requested and assistance to Guests requiring rental services. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for welcoming Guests while processing parking pass transactions using an established computer system and department procedures. Practices proper procedures for detecting and reporting fraud to leadership as necessary. Performs up-selling for Guest transactions by using persuasive selling techniques to increase the sales of parking options. Provides directions to appropriate parking locations and directs cars in parking lot. Resolves Guest questions and concerns utilizing knowledge of operation and resort. Supports Guest admissions into the theme park by scanning and verifying park admission tickets and their ownership upon Guest entry and re-entry into the park. Maintains the integrity of the front gate by verifying all Guests are using the same ticket on each visit and are not sharing tickets. Identifies instances of ticket sharing or fraud and notifies the proper UKR leadership to manage accordingly. Assists Guests with rental services including answering Guest questions and explaining services and procedures regarding wheelchair, ECV, stroller, and other rentable items. Accurately processes all transactions and maintains a clean environment. Reports any issues and/or damage of rentals to leadership for repair. Assists Guests with day-of ticket purchases by gathering detailed information to recommend products based on expected visit length and recommend add-ons to enhance the Guest’s visit using suggestive sales techniques. Maintains a clean and safe work environment by constantly monitoring the immediate area and/or surroundings. Responsible for ensuring a neat and organized work area, trash removal and keeping the area free of debris to include the proper maintenance of equipment and/or props. Assists with project initiatives and sustainment efforts as directed. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business needs.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Guest service and resolving Guest complaints preferred.
  • 6+ months Guest Service experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
