About The Position

The Attendant/Assembly position at Madix Inc. involves performing various assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment. The role requires adherence to safety standards and company policies while ensuring productivity and quality in the assembly process. Employees will work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate simple hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and cut-off saws.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, climb, and squat for prolonged periods.
  • Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Ability to work levers, buttons, and foot pedals, and interpret simple gauges.
  • Good attitude and common sense are required.
  • Team player with the ability to work well with others and follow instructions.
  • Availability to work weekends and/or overtime as needed.
  • Ability to concentrate in a noisy environment and wear protective equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and reach at least 6 feet high (for powder line attendants).

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and use a tape measure and interpret blueprints or simple drawings.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily functions as explained and demonstrated by lead man/supervisor within allocated time.
  • Execute repetitive tasks such as assembling parts, boxing, palletizing, crating, and packing products.
  • Connect sub-assemblies and manage parts on a moving conveyor line.
  • Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Keep track of company tools and equipment and report any defective materials or nonconformities.
  • Observe and respond to machine malfunction warnings and alarm signals.
  • Maintain accurate counts of materials and scrap produced.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Act in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner in all work-related activities.
  • Contribute as a proactive team member in a fast-paced environment.
