About The Position

Assists with first aid and medication administration to students to meet their immediate health needs. Document and input student attendance daily. Communicate clearly and effectively with district personnel and student(s) family regarding attendance. Inputs student data including but not limited to enrollment, withdrawals, schedules, transcripts, test scores, immunizations, demographics and/or any student information related to registration or school need. Enroll and withdraw students and supports families in the enrollment process. Prepare attendance reports and/or documents to include absenteeism, tardiness, truancies and/or enrollment-related information for Administrator(s), district personnel, truancy board and/or juvenile justice system. Maintain accurate and efficient student records within student information management system(s). Prepares required reports in coordination with school clerks and administrators. Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues. Maintain inventory of office supplies to ensure availability of required items. Distribute documents and materials to appropriate staff, students and/or parents. Answer phones including support for other departments, taking messages, responding to voicemails and/or forwarding calls. Perform clerical duties to assist in the daily activities for the building and administrator(s). Assists with supervision of students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment such as computers, copiers, laminators, telephones, scanners, paper cutters, book covering materials, and/or step ladders.
  • Knowledge in proper use of English in both written and verbal forms, use of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records.
  • Skill in operating standard office equipment including basic computer applications.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Understand and conduct verbal and written instruction.
  • Passing score on district administered clerical test.
  • Keyboard accuracy of at least 45 words per minute (WPM) on district administered typing test.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.
