About The Position

The ATM Manager is responsible for the operational integrity of the Credit Union's ATM network. This role ensures consistent uptime, operational excellence, and member accessibility across the ATM fleet. The role bridges vendor management, compliance, reporting, and innovation, delivering insights and execution that align with business strategy. Though the role has no direct reports, it functions as a critical cross-functional contributor to operations, retail, technology, and risk management teams. This position requires regular travel to Credit Union branch and ATM locations, anticipated as up to 50% of the time, as well as flexible scheduling needs to rapidly respond to ATM issues and vendor error resolution.

Requirements

  • Four to six years of similar or related experience within the financial services industry is required
  • A two-year college degree is required, additional experience and/or relevant industry-specific certifications may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Ability to travel to UVA Community Credit Union branch and ATM locations within Central Virginia on a regular basis, anticipated to be up to 50% of the time
  • Flexible scheduling needs for rapid response to ATM issues and vendor error resolution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven inter-team and inter-departmental collaboration skills
  • Detail oriented, organized, works efficiently and accurately

Responsibilities

  • ATM Fleet Oversight and Uptime Management: Monitor and optimize the performance of the ATM network, ensuring machines are operational and member-impacting outages are addressed with urgency.
  • Vendor and Partner Relationship Management: Oversee relationships with cash-in-transit providers, service vendors, hardware/software providers, and monitor contract performance and escalations.
  • Operational Compliance: Ensure all ATMs maintain accurate disclosures and signage, coordinate with Facilities to ensure physical security standards are current and tested, and software/firmware updates are implemented in coordination with vendors and IT.
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Act as liaison between business units to sequence ATM product enhancements, support internal balancing and reconciliation teams, and deliver requirements for upgrades and system changes.
  • Cash Strategy and Analytics: Develop data-driven cash load strategies and partner with finance and retail to align volume trends with member usage patterns and CIT delivery schedules.
  • Reporting, Monitoring & Insight Development: Build and maintain operational reporting routines and dashboards to monitor ATM health, usage trends, profitability, and vendor performance.
