About The Position

As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization this role is accountable for building relationships with fundraising volunteers while implementing innovative peer to peer fundraising products to exceed revenue goals for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission, within the Athletics sport/event offering. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital, social media & emerging online channels.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Collaborate with Mission Team ensuring success of patient access, education, public policy, advocacy and research
  • Able to supervise groups of volunteers
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital, social media & emerging online channels
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Education, Services and Health Research department to effectively communicate the LLS overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities.
  • Responsible for organizing mission centered, local donor cultivation events and prospecting high-impact donors for national stewardship activities
  • Drive high-impact peer to peer fundraising to achieve sport/event(s) to achieve overall revenue goals by implementing best practices and success factors
  • Execute fundraising/revenue plans developed annually and revised periodically to ensure the team exceeds all revenue goals.
  • Recruit new, retain alumni, and cultivate relationships with philanthropists for assigned sport or event(s).
  • Utilizing established tools/best practices to coach philanthropists to the peer-to-peer fundraising best practices designated for assigned sport.
  • Collaborate with region teams and national shared service partners throughout LLS.
  • Cultivate registered participants for assigned sport/events, partnering with them to build a fundraising plan and providing leadership/guidance in executing the plan.
  • Recruit participants participating in peer-to-peer fundraising products and coach them to build and execute a fundraising plan.
  • Identify and network with constituents and key donors to engage their support of LLS fundraising products.
  • Assist with developing recruitment plans and actively secure new partners through independent research, prospecting and participant relationship building.
  • May have responsibility for the recruitment and cultivation of high-level committee leaders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
