About The Position

The Event Management and Special Events Student Assistant/Intern shall serve as support to the full time event management staff member during athletic and special events, as well as in the office for any preparations necessary for events. Students/Interns will also have the opportunity to assist with championship (NCAA & conference), invitational and tournament events, as well as any large special events in Ohio Stadium (concerts, rentals, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • preparing event notes
  • gathering equipment needed (radios, signage, credentials)
  • greeting of clients, visiting teams, officials and event staff
  • assisting with hospitality needs by working with our catering & concessionaire partner
  • communicating with other departments as needed (Facility Operations, Marketing, Communications, AVS, Live Events, etc.)
  • assisting with event set-up & tear-down, which includes but is not limited to: signage placement, movement of tables or chairs, tents, traffic equipment and any other event specific items
  • onsite coordination of athletic/special event staff such as redcoats, ushers, ball kids, officials, parking staff, etc.
