About The Position

Under the general direction of the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Finance; the Athletics Business Coordinator is responsible for executing essential day-to-day financial and administrative transactions for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position will primarily focus on travel and procurement processing to ensure efficient operation of the Business Office and compliance with university and NCAA regulations. The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 21 sports at the NCAA Division I level. All sports compete in the Big West Conference except Football (Big Sky Conference) and Wrestling (Pac 12). Women's NCAA Division I sports programs: basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, soccer, softball, cross country, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field, stunt, tennis, and golf. Men's NCAA Division I sports programs: football, basketball, baseball, cross country, golf, tennis, outdoor track and field, soccer, and wrestling.

Requirements

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Relevant education and/or experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately, correctly and in a timely manner utilizing appropriate funding sources.
• Review and process travel advance requests and travel claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with university and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Review and process Direct Pay and Direct Buy requests through CSU Buy system.
• Research and resolve inquiries from end-users, accounts payable and vendors regarding payment status and documentation.
• Coordinate and process purchase requisitions, including assisting coaches with soliciting quotes.
• Answer inquiries from vendors regarding orders and payments.
