What We Are Looking For The Athletic Trainer serves in the Division of Athletics and reports to the Associate Director of Athletic Medicine for Track and Field. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the medical and rehabilitation programs and needs of student-athletes on the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country & Track and Field Teams . A Master's Degree is required along with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience . National Athletic Training Certification is required. Texas Athletic Training License is required but can be obtained after employment offer is accepted. A Bachelor's degree and two years relevant experience is required. A Masters degree is preferred. Additional education or experience will not be considered in lieu of one another. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. What You Will Do Medical Provide medical care to athletes at practice, training, and competition events. Administer treatment under the supervision of the Associate Director of Athletic Medicine and Team Physician. The athletic trainer is responsible for delivering comprehensive athletic medicine services within the scope of practice. This position requires travel. Communication Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents, coaches, team physicians, and administration on progress of student athletes. Maintain proper documentation in accordance with governing regulations. Operations Assist in the maintenance and proper use of athletic training facilities in order to create an efficient and safe working environment. Program Management Assist with the management of the student athletic training education program. Compliance Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and to communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff. Other Duties Other program duties as requested by the Director of Athletics or the area head Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission. Requirements
