About The Position

UNI Athletics is adding to its team! Based on qualifications, the successful candidate will be hired into one of two levels of professional opportunity: Athletic Ticketing Director or Assistant Athletic Director Ticketing and will have the opportunity to progress through the career path by achieving defined performance objectives once employed. Duties and qualifications listed are for the Athletic Ticketing Director position. Additional duties and qualifications required for Assistant Athletic Director Ticketing position and will be shared at the interview stage. Primary Function: Manages day-to-day functions of ticketing for UNI Athletics; develops and executes event creation, programs, and maintains the ticketing system; oversees event management, ticket printing and distribution; assists with management and fulfillment of select annual giving benefits within ticketing system; supervises part-time and student ticketing staff; provides sales, financial and other ticketing data reports; assists in the resolution of customer relation issues; and assists with management of other venues and events when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least one year of box office management
  • Supervision experience required
  • Must abide by the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the Big 12 Conference and the University of Northern Iowa
  • Non-standard work hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays will be necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management/Administration or related field
  • Athletic box office experience
  • Strong working knowledge of the Paciolan computerized ticketing system and PacFund
  • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and budget requirements
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative to resolve customer and public relations issues
  • Student experience will be considered
