About The Position

The Athletic Director will provide positive leadership for the athletic programs while ensuring all schools, coaches and athletes are compliant with athletic regulation and rules. Providing direction, guidance and stability for the athletic program throughout the district. Responsible for maintaining budget, hiring coaches, setting schedules as well as positively promoting all athletic events to the community.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with knowledge of athletic policies and regulations with specific detail to safety
  • Assures all coaches and athletes adhere to the rules and regulations for participation as set forth by the IHSAA
  • Communicate consistently, efficiently, and effectively with coaches, parents, players, students and administrators
  • Utilizes excellent organizational skills, management and follow-through
  • Collaborate as a member of the Administrative team, attending meetings when requested
  • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation
  • Create a system-wide culture of excellence for all sports, coaches, players, and parents
  • Serves as a positive role model displaying ethics, respect, integrity, self-confidence, and optimism
  • Scheduling Athletic Events
  • Evaluates coaching personnel and take any corrective action required
  • Acquire and maintain any licenses and/or certification necessary to perform tasks required for this position.
