Overview The Director of Athletics is a key member of the LOCS administration, responsible for guiding the philosophy, culture, and operations of the Athletic department in alignment with Live Oak’s mission and vision. This role requires an experienced, collaborative leader who fosters a vibrant, faith-centered culture where students grow in faith, virtue, knowledge, and understanding.

Requirements

  • Genuine faith in Christ that is clearly expressed in daily life
  • Passion for working with High school and Junior High students and their families
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Athletics Administrative experience required
  • Coaching experience required and able to coach at least one sport

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in classical christian education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the Athletic department (6th-12th grades) including schedules, athletic facilities, budget, equipment, uniforms, transportation, etc.
  • Serve as a contributing member of the Live Oak administrative team
  • Supervise the assistant athletic director, athletics coordinators, athletics assistants, and coaches
  • Oversee the hiring, training, development, and evaluations of all coaches
  • Maintain all athletic schedules in coordination with academics, fine arts, and school life
  • Ensure TAPPS compliance for high school athletics including TMS eligibility
  • Engage in school life- classrooms, events, daily interactions with students, teachers, and families
