About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a premier program for professional/elite athletes, as well as high school, youth and adults in the Phoenix community! Banner Scottsdale Sports Medicine is a three-story, 80,000-square-foot center welcoming and serving athletes at all levels, from youth to professionals. Our comprehensive, one-stop destination offers numerous sports medicine services and specialists under one roof, with internationally and nationally renowned sports medicine providers and leaders. Services include orthopedic surgery, primary care sports medicine, concussion care, ambulatory surgery center, physical therapy, medical imaging, performance assessment and training, strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, and sports psychology. Learn more about Banner Sports Medicine Scottsdale As an Athlete Guest Services Liaison with the High Performance Center (HPC), you will work at the reception area, coordinate the entrance and exit of athletes, clients and teams, direct tours, take and direct incoming calls, assist with social media duties, and other daily operational tasks. In addition, you will assist with the management of the scheduling and billing platform employed by the HPC. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow professionally at our state of the art facility, while making a positive difference in the lives of patients and athletes. Experience working in a similar role within a sports performance environment is preferred. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. The schedule is Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm (days and hours are set / cannot be changed). POSITION SUMMARY This position assists with providing concierge service to patients, provides a high level of customer service to assist way finding. Acts as a local resource to visitors and ensures a pleasurable and safe environment for patients and guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Must have the ability to handle ongoing face-to-face contact with patients, guests and staff.
• Must possess excellent oral communication, as well as listening skills to effectively interact pleasantly and calmly with patients, guests and staff.

• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
• Experience working in a similar role within a sports performance environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets, greets and assists patients and guests and provides general information regarding the services, the facility, and geographical area.
• Responds to special requests from our patients, customers and guests. Makes special arrangements to ensure unique needs are met. Assist patients and guests with scheduling transportation or other services as needed.
• Gathers, summarizes and provides information to patients and their guests about the property and surrounding area amenities and establishments.
• Coordinates patient needs with other departments/areas. Contracts appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve patient's requests.
• Coordinates access to the care delivery area, performs visitor authorization procedures, serves as a liaison between visitors and staff, relays visitor concerns to staff, and coordinates visitor support services.
• Answers phone, transfers calls, takes messages and relays messages and information as needed.
• Provides tours of the facility and walks customers to appropriate areas within the facility.
• Performs functions within established parameters. Customers include patients, families, and the community at large. Expected to perform daily work duties with minimal supervision based on training and policies provided. Expected to assist with patient and guest inquiries to ensure a positive experience.
