Job Description/Preferred Qualifications We are looking for an Associate Test Engineer who will be involved with the testing of new technologies. In this position you will work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature, where judgment is required to resolve problems and make routine recommendations. In addition, you will: Self-motivated individual who is always willing to self improve and highly reliable to support tool operations Support mechanical assembly and disassembly of various sub-systems on the tool, including cable routing Support mechanical tool reintegration and verify consistency with structured procedures provided by Development Engineers Test, troubleshoot, and rework assemblies and/or entire tool for qualification testing and upgrade operations Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, which require judgment in resolving issues Perform ongoing daily work with minimal instruction, and with general instructions on newly introduced assignments

Requirements

  • You need to have hands-on experience in electrical systems level testing, troubleshooting and repair
  • Ability to follow existing checklists, processes, and protocols
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment is required
  • Redline procedures as appropriate
  • Hands on experience using Oscilloscopes and DVM (Digital Voltmeter) tools and equipment is preferred
  • Use and manipulate a variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches and calipers
  • Work effectively across different functional teams in different locations
  • Assist in technical conference calls and support issues external to the Manufacturing Cell
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English
  • Demonstrate excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with little or no instruction on routine work, and with general instructions on new assignments
  • Prior hands-on experience in testing digital and/or analog components and systems
  • An ability to read and comprehend complicated drawings, mathematics, and handbook formulas, and use a variety of testing and measuring instruments
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends when requires
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time; Domestically and Internationally
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite software and other applications is a plus
  • 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree.
  • Or 2 years of experience and an Associate's degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of electron optics, vacuum fundamentals, pneumatics, robotics, and HV electronics is a plus
