The University of Florida (UF) College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) announces a search for an Assistant Dean of Small Animal Hospitals (ADSAH). The Assistant Dean position will be a 1.0 FTE with 75-80% administrative duties and 20-25% academic assignments (teaching, research, service). The ADSAH provides leadership, administers oversight of the medical care of patients, and guides the Small Animal Hospitals (SAH) in the strategic and operational aspects of clinical services. The ADSAH oversees the functions performed by clinicians (faculty and house officers) in the provision of veterinary care in the UFVH (Small Animal Hospital - Gainesville, and UF Pet Emergency and Treatment Services (UFPETS) - Ocala), consistent with the mission of the college and university. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment as an Assistant, Associate Professor or Professor (Clinical or Tenure Track as appropriate). The incumbent in this position will report to the department chair for their faculty assignment and the Associate Dean for Clinical Services - Small Animal (ADCS-SA) for the Assistant Dean assignment. The ADCS-SA will complete the annual evaluation on the performance of the administrative duties with input from the department chair on their faculty assignment.
