About The Position

JOB SUMMARY (Full-Time): Interlachen Country Club is seeking a professional and passionate Assistant Pastry Chef & Banquet Assistant to deliver an exceptional quality product for the members of the Club. The Asst. Pastry Chef prepares desserts, pastries, breads, cookies, Danish etc. for a la carte, banquet and other member needs. Inspects quality portioning and garnishing of all items prepared. Develops and researches recipes as needed by Executive Pastry Chef.

Requirements

• May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Requires occasional bending, lifting, stretching.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and maintains pastry station in a clean and sanitized condition.
• Prepares desserts, pastries, breads, cookies, Danish, and other baked goods for à la carte and banquet service.
• Measures and mixes ingredients according to standardized recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Assists with dessert plating, finishing, garnishing, and presentation for service and events.
• Maintains proper labeling, dating, rotation, and storage of all pastry products.
• Assists with dessert station set-up for club events and special functions
• Assist with banquet operations and other duties as assigned by culinary team.
• Supports recipe updates, research, and development as directed by the Chef or Executive Pastry Chef.
