The primary role of the Day Services Assistant Manager is to ensure that all of the needs of the people supported in the program are met while working in partnership with them to achieve their personal outcomes. This includes working with them to develop daily living, professional and informed decision-making skills while also supporting their health and safety and ensures their rights are both promoted and respected. In order to accomplish this, the Assistant Manager leads a team of Community Direct Support Professionals (CDSPs) and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and in conjunction with residential and clinical providers to work alongside the people they support to develop plans to meet the individual’s needs. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for ensuring that these plans are both followed and documented in an appropriate manner. In addition, the Assistant Manager is responsible for providing supervision and support to the CDSPs and DSPs.
