About The Position

Assistant Director of Admissions (Intake) - Full-Time River Oaks Hospital, located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, is a private psychiatric facility for adults, adolescents and children. Provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. The Assistant Director of Admissions manages the Communications department employees and receptionist scheduling. Promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital. Performs duties in accordance with the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards. Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology or Human Services field.
Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population required, preferably in an inpatient setting.
1-2 years management experience required.

Nice To Haves

License preferred - RN, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC licensure.

Responsibilities
