About The Position

The responsibility includes supporting the credentialing process for healthcare providers. This role involves ensuring that all necessary documentation is gathered, verified, and processed in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Works closely with providers, insurance companies, and internal departments to maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing records. Is responsible for managing and safeguarding patient health information, ensuring its accuracy, accessibility, and security. This role involves maintaining electronic health records (EHRs), analyze patient information for billing purposes, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is preferred
  • Previous experience in credentialing, healthcare administration, or similar role preferred
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in using credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite
