Blackstone Credit & Insurance – Structured Products, Portfolio Management, Associate Business Description: Blackstone Credit & Insurance (“BXCI”) is one of the world’s leading credit investors. Team and Role Description: Blackstone Credit & Insurance (BXCI) is seeking to add an Associate to its Structuring team within the Office of the Chief Investment Officer (OCIO). The Structuring team is primarily responsible for originating and executing structured investments across BXCI; creating and managing rated vehicles to deliver BXCI’s origination in an efficient manner for our investors; owning relationships across rating agencies and banks for structured solutions; working closely with sales team and portfolio managers for ongoing maintenance of structures; collaborating with other functions within OCIO and the broader BXCI platform; and preparing models, analysis, memos, and presentations regarding the aforementioned topics. The candidate will work closely with all OCIO functions, origination teams, individuals across the broader platform, and senior-level management to execute on these responsibilities. Candidates can expect to work on numerous initiatives at a time given the lean size of the team.

Requirements

  • Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgement, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2+ years of experience, ideally within funds operations, bank lending, or advisory role, or related valuation or transaction services.
  • Strong process management, data analysis, and presentation skills
  • A high degree of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented
  • Critical thinking skills, including identifying trends and insights from raw data sets
  • Highly motivated; works well independently
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and manage both internal and external business relationships

  • Experience and familiarity with structuring and asset management is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle oversight of rated vehicles managed by the Structuring team:
  • Developing and maintaining monitoring tools
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders on deal closings
  • Generating periodic reporting
  • Booking and processing transactions
  • Validating and reconciling projected cash flows and payments
  • Calculating and monitoring risk metrics
  • Reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Supporting data analysis to identify trends and operational insights
