About The Position

H.I.G. Capital, one of the largest and most active private investment firms focused on the middle market, is seeking outstanding individuals to join its credit affiliate, H.I.G. WhiteHorse. H.I.G. WhiteHorse is a direct lending platform providing financing solutions to middle market companies in the U.S. and Canada. H.I.G. WhiteHorse has a broad investment mandate and provides senior and subordinated debt for refinancings, growth capital, acquisitions, buyouts, and balance sheet recapitalizations. Credit facilities typically range from $25 to $150 million for companies with revenues of $50 million or more. Opportunities are available in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Miami. Associates take a central role in the evaluation, structuring, executing, and monitoring of our private investments. Our professionals work with a small deal team in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment and have constant interaction with the most senior members of the firm, as well as the senior management of our portfolio companies. Associates will be involved in conducting due diligence, identifying key merits and risks, and presenting new investment opportunities to our investment committee. After closing of a transaction, Associates will be a key point of contact with portfolio company executives to actively monitor the performance of our investment. The Associate role is not a traditional buy-side “two-years-and-out” title. Instead the role serves as the primary entry point for an upward career path at H.I.G. WhiteHorse.
