About The Position

Woot is the original daily deals site, founded in 2004 and snatched up by Amazon
in 2010. Originally, Woot offered just one product per day until we sold out.
Today, we offer special daily deals and other limited-time offers across seven
categories on the Woot website. We also sell a bunch of stuff on the Amazon
Marketplace platform too.

We are looking for an Associate Vendor Manager who is a passionate customer and
category advocate with proven ability to organize a significant amount of data
and product information for customer-facing merchandising events. You will
assist in sourcing inventory from key stakeholders and evaluating this inventory
to run exciting deals on Woot.com.
You will also be responsible for the deal content and listings on Woot, ensuring
we provide the best customer experience. This role will involve being very
hands-on and having effective attention to detail to deliver a seamless buying
experience for the customer.

We focus on three core areas: developing more efficient operating procedures and merchandising features that convert browsers into buyers and accelerate revenue growth; inventing and implementing streamlined processes that simplify item setup and reduce time-to-market; and identifying and onboarding new vendor partnerships that diversify our supplier portfolio and expand our product offerings.

Requirements

• Be customer obsessed! We start with the customer and work backwards
• Effectively prioritize workload, identifying and then focusing on the most urgent tasks

• Drive actionable insights from large data sets and be comfortable taking swift and decisive action on a daily basis
• Demonstrate efficient bias for action. In the deals business, every minute counts!
• Excel at collaborating with different stakeholders to understand their requirements and execute accordingly
• 1+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools
• Experience writing and building merchandising content
• Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
• Experience in balancing conflicting priorities dealing with ambiguity
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

Nice To Haves

• Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML, Excel and SQL)
• 2+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
• Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
• Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Drive demand generation and revenue growth by sourcing high-velocity deal items and promotional products that create customer excitement and urgency, while strategically building and maintaining a diversified portfolio of vendor partnerships that deliver sustainable long-term growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
• Partner with Customer Service teams to optimize product content quality, ensuring product listings, descriptions, and specifications are accurate, comprehensive, and customer-focused to minimize returns, reduce customer friction, and enhance the overall shopping experience.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Vendor Managers and Marketing teams to develop and execute special projects, promotional campaigns, and strategic sales initiatives that drive revenue growth, enhance vendor partnerships, and maximize market opportunities through coordinated planning and execution.
• Manage inventory operations and supply chain logistics, including monitoring stock levels, coordinating with vendors for timely replenishment, maintaining accurate inventory records in management systems, while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.
