The Planning group offers integrated planning, management, and project development services across five subgroups: Planning & Management, Safety, Freight & Economics, Transit + Shared Mobility, and Operations & Technology Planning. The Associate Transportation Analyst conducts qualitative (research, interviewing, outreach, report development) and quantitative (spreadsheet tools, dataset management, GIS mapping, data processing, light coding/scripting) assignments. These assignments support various efforts including statewide and regional planning studies, multimodal corridor studies, transit planning projects, financial and economic analysis, transportation policy analysis, asset management, freight/rail planning, safety, grant writing, and environmental analysis. The Analyst also engages with clients, performs business development tasks like networking and proposal development, and is responsible for delivering high-quality products. They manage projects and tasks or serve as a deputy project manager, supported by senior staff.
