About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting the Development and Investment Group by helping with real estate transactions such as acquisitions, sales, financings, and land closings. The position involves assisting with due diligence, organizing documents, and coordinating with different teams to ensure smooth processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field; advanced degree or paralegal certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in real estate transactions, investment operations, or legal/financial coordination, preferably within a development or investment environment.
  • Familiarity with acquisition, disposition, financing, and development processes, including legal and financial documentation.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transaction workflows, including due diligence, closings, and lender documentation.
  • Proficiency in managing legal documents, organizational records, and fund structures.
  • Experience with document management systems and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Box).
  • Solid grasp of financial and accounting principles related to real estate investments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint; Ability to be trained in Visio

Responsibilities

  • Help gather and organize documents and information needed for real estate transactions (buying, selling, financing, etc.).
  • Advises appropriate stakeholders on information flow during acquisition/ disposition processes- specifically as relates to due diligence, Lender requirements and documentation, and legal documentation.
  • Assist in tracking progress and updating checklists for closings and other transaction-related activities.
  • Responsible for preparing materials for meetings and reviews related to acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
  • Maintain and update files and records for legal and property documents.
  • Work with the Legal department to store and manage documents and ensure they are easy to access.
  • Help respond to requests for administrative documents from internal teams.
  • Assist with basic financial and administrative reports as needed.
  • Perform other tasks to support the team as assigned.
