About The Position

Our AmLaw 100 client is hiring a Tax associate in New York to sit at the center of complex transactions for market -leading corporates, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions. The team is Chambers -recognized with a deep bench across NY, DC, CA, and UK, and a track record on spin -offs, IPOs, and sophisticated M&A.

Requirements

• JD with 4 -7 years of BigLaw tax experience; class years 2019–2022
• Transactional tax background touching two or more of: PE M&A, public company deals, fund formation, capital markets, or real estate
• Strong research and writing, crisp oral advocacy, and a practical approach to novel issues
• Comfortable leading calls, collaborating in office, and building external presence through speaking and writing

Responsibilities

• Advise on the tax aspects of strategic and private equity M&A, joint ventures, and restructurings
• Support capital markets matters, including spin -offs and IPOs
• Counsel on investment fund formation and real estate transactions
• Research, draft, and negotiate tax provisions in core deal documents
• Interface directly with clients and help present at external programs and national tax conferences

Benefits

• Base salary range $260,000 to $390,000, plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits including healthcare, retirement, paid leave, FSA, and parental leave.
