About The Position

This position participates in a group 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year, on-call rotation where each member of the group takes call for 1 week at a time. Assist with maintenance of the organization's enterprise IT communications infrastructure. Understand customer request, process requirements and ensure they can be achieved through high quality deliverables. Document the interactions between systems and applications within the environment to ensure performance, reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements. Use documentation and understanding of those interactions to evaluate the impact of changes or additions as requested by our organization on a daily basis. Conduct cost and traffic analysis to determine the best use of resources. Manage multiple applications, systems, network, and IT Communications activities. May include programming, analysis, networking, data processing, and/or administration responsibilities. Resolve technical problems. Coordinate information system priorities. Work closely with management, other departments and customers to ensure effective integration among information systems and the UAMS IT infrastructure. Work with all other areas of the department to insure cross functional support, synergy and needs to support all department and company objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma plus four (4) years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing IT Communications hardware
  • Ability to work in a team environment and strong written and verbal communication skills.
