About The Position

The Associate Technology Project Manager will be a collaborative force within SCI, working closely with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize tasks that align with our business objectives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical requirements and successful execution. You will prioritize learning SCI’s rigorous quality standards while managing the day-to-day administrative flow of the product roadmap. Reporting to the Technology Project & Product Manager, you will support the Innovation Team in delivering initiatives of various sizes and complexities. Crucial to this role is a skill set composed of high-level organization, a technical aptitude, and the humility to handle rigorous documentation. In summary, this role will be a key player in supporting execution & collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, set strategic direction, ensure alignment with business objectives, and drive continuous improvement across SCI’s internal and external systems. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience related to managing or supporting projects, while they don't need to be a software engineer, they must be "tech-fluent." They should understand how digital products are built and be comfortable using product management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana. They are eager to learn the "why" behind SCI’s internal systems and can translate technical jargon into clear documentation for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • In lieu of degree, will consider an additional 2 - 4 years’ of experience in a related professional setting.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience, including professional internships, academic capstone projects, or leadership roles within student or volunteer organizations.
  • Ability to support or coordinate projects through the initiation, planning, execution, and closing phases.
  • Practical experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, or Monday.com.
  • Intermediate understanding of project management methodologies, specifically Agile and Waterfall.
  • SDLC Literacy: Fundamental understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and its application in technology initiatives.
  • Product Support: Familiarity with product management principles, including backlog grooming and user story development.
  • Data Management: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to digest complex technical specifications and organize them into logical, actionable workflows.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate conflict resolution and maintain stakeholder alignment.
  • Comfortable pivoting between administrative planning, technical testing, and cross-departmental communication.
  • A process-driven commitment to continuous improvement and a "first-time-right" approach to documentation.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively

Nice To Haves

  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or progress toward an entry-level PM certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Project Facilitation: Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of new products, features, and internal process enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Develop and maintain a centralized project portfolio dashboard. This tool will serve as the primary source of truth to keep the broader organization and leadership team informed on project status and milestones
  • Timeline & Risk Mitigation: Monitor the critical path daily to identify potential risks and assign mitigation owners to ensure project momentum remains uninterrupted.
  • Portfolio Reporting: Maintain a project portfolio dashboard to provide the leadership team and the wider organization with transparent, real-time status updates.
  • Tool Advocacy: Lead and support the companywide adoption and administrative management of project management tools to streamline collaboration across all departments.
  • Data Oversight: Prepare and maintain program documentation, including status reports, briefing materials, meeting minutes, and deliverables lists.
