About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. We are looking for an entry-level general helper who is committed to safety, and quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Position Specific Details: Shift: Monday – Thursday (5am – 3:30pm), Location: Space Coast, FL

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience in at least three of the following is required: Some experience with hand tools and assemblies
  • Ability to work from written work instructions
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and person
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas
  • Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 35lbs

Responsibilities

  • Help with the setup of new production work areas to include, tooling and equipment
  • Capable of operating material handling equipment including forklifts, fork trucks, and other ground support equipment as required
  • Helping with Continuous Improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
  • Perform routine functions such as daily clean-up of work areas, support 5S activities, and eliminate FOD
  • Ability to move parts and tooling from one work center to another
  • Ability to work off-shift, extended hours, overtime, and weekends if/when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by higher level technicians/supervision or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision
