As an Associate Technical Consultant (12-month contract) at Aderant, you will play a critical role in implementing, configuring, and supporting our enterprise legal software solutions for law firms and professional services organizations. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a client-focused mindset to ensure successful solution delivery and ongoing system optimization.

Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge in technology, software Implementations, information systems, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Basic understanding of SQL concepts with an interest in developing stronger SQL query and database skills over time.
  • Exposure to or willingness to learn technologies such as .NET, C#, XML, Web Services, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Growing familiarity with ERP or financial systems; interest in learning solutions commonly used in the legal or professional services industry.
  • Introductory experience with reporting or analytics tools (such as SSRS, Power BI, or Crystal Reports) or a desire to build skills in this area.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude with a desire to develop deeper technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to learn how to manage client expectations effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate within a global, distributed team while also developing the confidence to work independently.
  • Interest in gaining experience with project coordination, consulting practices, or solution delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation & Configuration Deploy and configure Aderant products (e.g., Expert, ATO, CompuLaw etc.) to meet client requirements.
  • Work closely with business analysts and project managers to translate functional specifications into technical solutions.
  • Perform system installations, upgrades, integrations, and customizations.
  • Client Engagement Act as a technical liaison between clients and internal teams.
  • Provide guidance, best practices, and training to ensure clients maximize value from Aderant solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client-reported issues in a timely manner.
  • Support & Maintenance Provide post-implementation support and ongoing system maintenance.
  • Identify and escalate complex issues to senior consultants or product engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
