Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Associate / Engineer Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. This role may be filled at either the Associate Engineer Systems or Engineer Systems , based on qualifications listed below

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience , OR a Master's of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience , OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 years of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 2 years of engineering-related experience, OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of engineering-related experience
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with system engineering tools such as IBM Rational DOORS
  • First-hand experience with requirements management
  • Experience with verification of system requirements
  • Familiarity with system documents such as System/Subsystem Specifications, Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRM), etc.
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum / DevOps
  • Active program access

Responsibilities

  • Performs systems integration, and verification for total systems.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements, and further allocate to lower level requirements.
  • Generation and updating of System and sub-system level specifications in DOORS, including creation of Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRM) and verification traceability (tracing requirements to test plans/procedures/results)
  • Define and execute overall system verification plan and associated products for FCA.
  • Coordinate verification with sub-systems to ensure proper verification roll-up.
  • Manage overall verification products in support of system sell-off
