About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated system administrator with Windows Server experience to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our Windows based infrastructure. This role requires a resourceful individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

The systems administrator is responsible for providing support at a desktop, server, and a basic networking level. Some days the task list may solely be desktop issues and other days it may be more server related. This administrator will be required to support multiple efforts in multiple areas of the facility. The systems administrator will be required to have a solid understanding of windows servers and general networking concepts. Along with the daily tasks, the ideal candidate will need to stay focused and organized, so they can listen and adapt to the customers’ needs.

Requirements

• Requires broad theoretical job knowledge.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Active Security Clearance.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experiencing Troubleshooting desktop hardware and end user issues.
• Experience Working with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience with current Windows Server operating systems
• Understanding of Routing, Switching, and the TCP/IP protocol
• Understanding of SCCM, package setup and deployment.
• Understanding of virtual machines (primarily Hyper-V & VMWare)
• Ability to read and write scripts in PowerShell and other scripting languages

• Demonstrated self-starter - efficient in achieving goals and proactive in pursuing subsequent task.
• Familiarity with security compliance and best practices.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Maintain a positive relationship with customers on a day-to-day basis.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 pounds.
