About The Position

787 Airframe Team in Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring for an Associate Structural Analysis Engineer (Structural Analysis) to work at our North Charleston, SC. We are looking for a proactive individual who can make prompt engineering decisions and who wants to go beyond their desk and into the factory for hands on engineering. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the following engineering majors: Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil, and select Structures degrees
  • At least 2 years of engineering industry experience
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience performing structural analysis, test, and/or certification on Interior Structures
  • Experience working in a cross functional team settings and interfacing with customers

Responsibilities

  • Perform stress analysis on 787 interior structures using well defined analysis tools.
  • Support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Assist with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Define and document certification and test results to substantiate compliance to customers’ and regulatory agencies’ (FAA, EASA, and other national agencies) requirements.
  • Support production and provide technical solutions, including involvement in factory build, test and associated troubleshooting.
  • Help develop new materials, methods, tools, and designs to support future programs.

  • Associate Level: $85,000 – $115,000
