We are currently looking for an Associate Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between product requirements and technical execution. You will move beyond simple low-code environments to build robust internal tools, manage data pipelines, and use SQL/Python to solve complex client challenges. This is an ideal role for a junior technologist who loves data, wants to get hands-on experience with modern stacks (Python, Django, Airflow), and enjoys seeing the immediate impact of their code on business operations.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a technical role (e.g. Junior Data & Tools Engineer, Data Analyst, Support Engineer or Junior Developer).
  • Strong SQL Proficiency: Must be able to write complex queries, joins, and aggregations to analyze big data and validate system health.
  • Python Proficiency: Experience using Python for data manipulation (Pandas), automation, or API interaction.
  • Data Engineering Interest: Familiarity with ETL concepts; exposure to Airflow is a significant plus.
  • Exceptional Problem Solving: A "detective" mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues across different layers of the stack.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Familiarity: Experience with JIRA and agile workflows.
  • Bias for Action: Self-motivated with a track record of appropriate urgency and follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • Portfolio or GitHub examples of personal projects are highly valued.
  • Web Frameworks: Knowledge of Django or Flask is a strong plus.
  • Legacy/Low-Code: Familiarity with Retool is helpful for understanding legacy tools, but not required for future builds.
  • Data Engineering Interest: exposure to Airflow is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain internal tools and scripts to automate manual business processes using Python.
  • Maintain and migrate existing legacy workflows (previously built in Retool) toward more robust, code-based solutions (e.g., Django or Python scripts).
  • Develop scripts to interact with internal and external APIs for data retrieval and system updates.
  • Build and monitor data pipelines (ETL) to ensure accurate data flow between systems.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data for internal stakeholders and client reporting.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of orchestration tools (experience with Airflow is a major plus).
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for data anomalies and system bugs.
  • Proactively monitor foundational systems (using tools like New Relic) to identify issues before they impact clients.
  • Investigate root causes of technical incidents by digging into logs, databases, and code.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure local tools align with the broader architecture.
