Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineers . This position will be located at our Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Software Engineering team within the Western Region Vehicle and Software Engineering Directorate.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Software Engineer: Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Be available for full-time work in Redondo Beach, CA

Nice To Haves

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
Be completing or has completed their degree Bachelor's or Master's from an accredited institution in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Recent programming experience in one or more of the following: C++, C, C#, Python, Java, or similar languages
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determine computer user needs.
Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.
Prepare operating instructions.
Design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
