This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain Analytics function, a team that delivers cutting-edge technology solutions to Alcon associates and customers to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Associate, Software Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path) will play a key role in designing and maintaining data solutions that power supply chain analytics. This role involves building and optimizing ETL workflows, developing robust data pipelines, and creating interactive dashboards to support business intelligence and decision-making at our Main Office in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, a typical day will include: Design, develop and maintain ETL workflows using tools such as Alteryx, Looker, Glue and other data integration platforms to support supply chain analytics initiatives Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources to create robust data pipelines that enable business intelligence and decision-making Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate and analyze large datasets from data lakes, enterprise databases and data warehouses Develop Python scripts using pandas, NumPy and other standard libraries for data cleaning, transformation, and automated reporting processes Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI or similar business intelligence tools to communicate insights to stakeholders across the supply chain organization Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, forecast trends and optimize supply chain operations including demand planning, inventory optimization, and logistics efficiency Collaborate with supply chain business partners to translate analytical requirements into technical solutions that drive operational improvements Develop predictive models and algorithms to support supply chain forecasting, risk analysis and scenario planning Conduct A/B testing and experimental design to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of supply chain process improvements Implement model evaluation techniques including cross validation, hyperparameter tuning and performance metrics to ensure model accuracy and reliability Participate in code reviews and documentation to ensure data quality Support the testing and validation of data models, ensuring accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations
