About The Position

We are seekng an Associate Scientist to join Protein Development group within our Therapeutic Proteins department. You will join our ongoing efforts towards purification processing and characterization of protein reagents. As an Associate Scientist, a typical day might include: Purifying therapeutic reagents and antibodies for ongoing therapeutic programs using standard purification systems and automated equipment Conducting protein purification and characterization by liquid chromatography such as affinity, IEX, HIC, and SEC. Doing protein characterization of reagents by Western blotting, SDS-PAGE electrophoresis, CE-SDS, SEC chromatography, spectrophotometry, etc. Entering, analyzing, and documenting data of purified characterized reagents in LIMS and presentations Communicating results clearly and concisely to manager and peers This role might be for you if you: Can work productively in a fast-paced collaborative team Have strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills Enjoy working productively in a fast-paced collaborative environment Have an eye for detail and pride yourself on the quality of your work Work on current problems while thinking of future solutions In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a BS/MS in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience in protein purification/characterization. We need someone with a strong background in protein chemistry. Experience with SDS PAGE and Western blot is required. Must have experience with liquid chromatography and isolation techniques such as Affinity, IEX, HIC, and SEC. AKTA Avant experience preferred. Characterization experience of reagents by Western blotting, SDS-PAGE electrophoresis, CE-SDS, and SEC chromatography is also required. Requirements

  • BS/MS in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in protein purification/characterization
