About The Position

Pharmaron is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist III to join our Bioanalytical team in Germantown, MD. This role is ideal for a hands-on scientist looking to deepen their expertise in ligand binding assays, PCR, and large molecule bioanalysis within a regulated GLP environment. You will play a key role in sample analysis, method execution, and data quality, while collaborating closely with experienced scientists on method development and validation activities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field with 2–3 years of industry experience OR Master's degree with ~2 years of experience
  • Hands-on experience with ligand binding assays (LBA) and/or PCR
  • Knowledge of large molecule bioanalysis / immunoassays
  • Familiarity with immunology, molecular biology, or immunochemistry
  • GLP (21 CFR Part 11 & Part 58), GCP, GDP
  • ICH guidelines (e.g., ICH M10 preferred)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced lab environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
  • Perform day-to-day laboratory operations, including biological sample analysis
  • Execute sample handling and processing using proper pipetting and aseptic techniques
  • Perform ligand binding assays (LBA) and/or PCR assays, ensuring accurate data generation
  • Support solution preparation, reagent management, and inventory monitoring
  • Assist in preparation and review of SOPs, forms, and technical documentation
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Ensure compliance with GLP, GCP, and regulatory standards
  • Support data processing, including preparation of data packages for QC review
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure data integrity and traceability
  • Collaborate with Bioanalytical Scientists on method development and validation
  • Assist in documentation review to ensure method adherence and regulatory compliance
  • Mentor and support junior team members (AS II level) in developing technical skills
